There is a minimum spend on food and drinks at the Atlantis hotel’s Ibiza-style beach lounge which means you’ll end up paying, but you may feel happier with the return than with a beach club where it costs just to enter. How much you pay will depend on where you sit – a sun lounger, a bed by the beach… As with life, the more money, the better real estate and view.

Exact pricing details as follows: Sun-Thu Dhs150 per person minimum spend on sun loungers and sofas, Dhs800 minimum spend for three person cabanas. Fri-Sat Dhs250 per person minimum spend per person on sun loungers and sofas and 1,000 dirhams minimum spend for cabanas. Free entry sounds great – but the reality is clearly somewhat different – 1,000 AED is pricey by anyone’s standards.

Nasimi is an all day and night affair – hours of operation run from 9am -1am (and Fridays 9am-2am). On Friday evenings it’s also an adult offering – age: 21+ or over.

It can feel pretty adult too. During the day the beats drift across white sands and over the beautiful people; at night the music gets louder as beach turns to club.

If this sounds like a slice of Club Tropicana then Nasimi should be perfect for you. However, make sure you’re not bothered about water sports, facilities for kids, quiet reflection, or just laid back elegance – because you won’t really find any of that.

What you will find is a cool location, and a good vibe that ups its tempo at night, good beach food, white palm sands and an abundance of ocean and at times, energy.
